FINCHCLIFF ADVISORY

Adviser and Introducer Partnerships

Finchcliff Advisory is building an international distribution network for investment programmes. We welcome conversations with advisers, wealth management firms, distributors, professional introducers and platforms that can bring suitable investor relationships and work within clearly agreed roles.

Our focus is private credit, corporate loan notes and alternative investment programmes. A potential partnership begins with a review of your firm, your markets and the underlying programme. Product access and any appointment depend on that review and the applicable agreements.

Discuss a professional partnership

A network built around professional partners

Finchcliff’s role is to recruit, onboard and support the distribution network, and to coordinate information and enquiries with the underlying programme providers. Partners bring and serve eligible investors within their agreed remit.

  • Advisers and wealth management firms: review programme information for potential relevance to clients and confirm the permissions, advice responsibilities and distribution arrangements that apply to their work.
  • Distributors and adviser networks: discuss programme fit, regional coverage, the teams involved and the support required to develop an active relationship.
  • Professional introducers: establish a clearly defined introduction role, including the limits on discussion, approved materials and the appropriate investor handoff.
  • Platforms and professional allocators: assess whether the instrument, documentation, operational process and investor audience fit their requirements.

Review the programme before the relationship

A productive partnership starts with evidence. We invite prospective partners to set out their product-review requirements and the questions they need resolved before considering an appointment.

The review should address the issuer and instrument, the use of proceeds, key contractual terms, fees, conflicts, liquidity, currency exposure and the risks to income and capital repayment. Where security or a guarantee is relevant, its scope and limitations need to be understood from the actual documents. A fixed coupon does not make payment or repayment certain.

Use our private-credit evidence-request sheet to record the owner, date and unresolved question for each item before drawing a conclusion.

For a worked example of this review, read how to read a loan note and distinguish a fixed coupon from a guarantee.

Access to programme-specific materials is considered after an initial firm and territory discussion. The applicable documents, permitted audience and information-sharing arrangements govern what can be supplied.

The support model we are building

Our partner model is designed around a consistent information process from initial review through to ongoing enquiries:

  • Programme information: a clear route to current product and issuer materials, with unanswered diligence questions directed to the relevant party.
  • Onboarding and role clarity: agreed responsibilities, permitted territories, investor criteria, commercial terms and an introduction process.
  • Training and approved communications: programme briefings, agreed marketing materials and a process for keeping information current.
  • Ongoing coordination: support with document requests and investor questions, and clear attribution of introductions within the agreed relationship.

The scope and availability of support will be established for each appointment. An enquiry does not create a partnership or authorise promotion of a programme.

From first discussion to an active partnership

  1. Understand the firm. Share your business model, operating markets, investor audience and relevant experience.
  2. Review fit and the programme. Establish the proposed role, territorial route and product-review requirements; resolve the key questions.
  3. Agree the relationship. Confirm responsibilities, permissions, commercial terms, communications and the handling of investor information.
  4. Prepare and activate. Complete the agreed onboarding and briefing, then begin introductions within the approved process.
